FAMILY INVOLVEMENT AND PARENT TRAINING

STRIDE Learning Center believes that early intervention programs which actively involve families are more effective than programs focusing exclusively on children. Parents are welcome at all times and are invited to participate in program activities. STRIDE Learning Center endorses all efforts to assist parents in their role as primary educators of their children. Recognizing that families have different needs, STRIDE Learning Center offers classes for families with specific concerns such as Effective Parenting Classes and Sign Language Classes and assists families in attending conferences specific to their needs whenever possible.

Parent input is valued, and positions specifically for parents are included on the Laramie County Interagency Coordinating Council and the STRIDE Learning Center Board of Directors.
